Widoczne jedynie czoło i krótkie siwe włosy, palce trzymające po bokach obraz i reszta ciała do dołu. Kobieta ubrana jest w długą ciemną sukienkę, czerwone skarpetki i czarne połyskujące buty.

The exhibition’s title refers to the materials I used, sourced from second-hand shops and clearance sales, to create paintings and objects. Clearing out also means clearing out storage, leaving space empty, free from the burden of history.

I focused on fabric, held together by the idea of recycling, and my own knitwear. I use sewing, embroidery, yarn, and crochet to create my works. Some of them are patchwork images of women. I gave them names connected to history, cultural stereotypes, and symbolism. Others are objects and paintings made of yarn, which I associate with anatomy. A separate group consists of minimalist abstract paintings.

The exhibition culminates the 40th anniversary of the non-commercial Galeria Biała in Lublin, which I have had the pleasure of managing from the very beginning. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication titled WspomnieniA, in which I recall events and people from the long history of Galeria Biała.
