ŁUKASZ GŁOWACKI Neutral throw from support
Opening: 14.03.2025, opening hour: 18.00
Open until: 17.05.2025, opening hours: TUE-SAT 12.00-18.00

The exhibition title reveals the tension between neutrality and dependence, choice and its conditions. “Throw” suggests a gesture – a moment of decision, which can be both a look from a distance, an attempt to capture the whole, and an unpredictable act – like throwing a grenade, whose field of impact is a random blind force. Impartiality is an illusion here – every decision requires an instrument of “support”, a point of reference that enables action but also limits it. The exhibition is a space stretched between movement and statics, possibility and necessity. It is a reflection on the dynamics of the creative process, in which every action, although seemingly neutral, requires support – both performative and ideological.
Łukasz Głowacki (born 1964) graduate of the PWSSP (currently the Academy of Fine Arts) in Gdańsk. Painter, performer, creates objects, installations, videos. In his work, he combines the search for the subjective expression of human existence with the status of a work of art. His works are minimalizing, kinetic objects with the potential for performativity. The language of his expression is an apparent code of abstraction, meanings of distanced emotions, built reactively in the context of the ongoing changes in the human environment. He has participated in dozens of collective exhibitions and a dozen or so individual exhibitions. He works at the PLSP in Nałęczów, where he runs the “Mała galeria”. He lives in Nałęczów.
