Krystyna Piotrowska is a recognized visual artist. She creates works that combine photography, graphic techniques, and painting. She is the author of installations and videos. Piotrowska is known for her works made of human hair. Her art deals mainly with the subjects of identification, memory, passing, history and Jewish identity. In the years 2006-12 she was the author and the curator of the “Próżna Project” exhibition. This exhibition was held annually in dilapidated houses on Próżna Street and concerned the memory and Polish-Jewish relations.
The exhibition at the Biała Gallery will present a wide spectrum of her artistic activity: from works from the 1970s to the most recent ones.
