I would like to fulfill the heroine’s dream of leaving this world in a great style, like Dalida – a singer who in a luxurious hotel left a note “I’m tired of living, I’m sorry”. Can only the stars afford a “beautiful” death? It is the ordinary, gray man deserves to say goodbye with the pomp and the panache!

The artist has been known so far from drawings and figurative painting, in which she portrays women and men (sometimes also themselves) in unobvious situations and existential dilemmas. The characters adopt the studied poses and appear alienated, tragic, exaggerated aesthetically.

In Galeria Biała Głowacka present in the Long Room and the Double Room a completely new artistic project, in which one of the rooms transforms into a bedroom, in the style of decorative exaggeration and superficial glitz. This aesthetics comes from dreams attributed to middle-aged women who are contrasted with ordinary life and banality. The exhibition will be complemented by new paintings and a film dedicated to the exhibition.

Viola Głowacka (born in 1985) is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at UMCS in Lublin.
